About
RGM takes its name from its founder Rosa Gastaldo Mario, who began production of fine palette knives in 1961. The RGM range of traditionally crafted knives now consists of over 200 models. Their palette knives are exported all over the world and have become the benchmark of quality. Still made in Maniago, Italy the range now also includes sculpture, gilding and print making tools.
The History
The RGM company takes its name from its founder Rosa Gastaldo Mario, who, towards the end of the 1950s, realised that the fine arts market was looking for technical and high quality products.
So in 1961 he decided to fill this gap and founded his company in Maniago, a city of cutlery and full of skilled craftsmen in steel processing.Â
Here the company could easily find expert collaborators who, together with the collaboration of local artists, RGM became a well known producer of tools in the fine arts market.Â
Over the years the company has developed considerably, passing to his son Edoardo who, grew up in the family business, and wanted to challenge international scenarios, which lead to RGM expanding internationally.
With this new push, RGM has refined and specialised its products and increased its range whilst becoming a point of reference for the sector of fine arts and quality products of Made in Italy.Â
Today, with the most complete range of products for artists and restorers worldwide, RGM is synonymous with art.
